Final Fantasy X HD to include X-2 HD remaster, International versions
This week’s Jump! issue confirms that the Playstation 3 version of Final Fantasy X’s upcoming HD remaster will be bundled with an HD remaster of its direct sequel, Final Fantasy X-2. As for its Playstation Vita counterpart, both games will be sold separately.
Jump! also confirms both games will be of their PAL/International versions, both of which had been only released in regions outside of North America: Final Fantasy X: International was released in Japan and as the game’s only localized European version; Final Fantasy X-2: International + Last Mission was released only in Japan.
The International version of X includes a completely redesigned sphere grid and the Dark Aeon and Penance superbosses; X-2 International + Last Mission includes gameplay tweaks, three new dresspheres, a Coliseum battle mode, and a special post-script dungeon called Yadonoki Tower.
Retail prices have yet to be announced.
Final Fantasy X HD will be available for Playstation 3 and Playstation Vita later this year.
Screens of the HD remaster for Final Fantasy X running on the Playstation Vita, revealed by executive producer Shinji Hashimoto.
The HD remaster was announced at the 2011 Tokyo Game Show to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the game’s release in Japan. The game will have redone character models rendered in high definition, as shown above. The first major news since the initial announcement, Hashimoto attributed the long gap to Square Enix’s concentration on creating the most polished HD remaster possible.
Final Fantasy X HD will be available for Playstation Vita and Playstation 3.

Final Fantasy X
Besaid Island
I remember when my basement used to be a beach. It always smelled cold down there and some places didn’t have carpets for a long time and my bare toes would always catch the corners where it was thin and sharp on the way downstairs in the middle of the night. I knew where all the squeaky floorboards were. I remember living through this game in a book before I ever played it, I remember the sound of water and that sound in your mouth when you can feel an adventure starting and the colours (are there ever such memories as when you remember colour) and how the summoner’s fate was the most sad and beautiful thing I had ever understood all at once and I remember when my basement used to be a beach.
